Dug a hole for myself
Clawing my way out
The earth moves with me
And there's no escape
The hole gets bigger
And swallows me up
A grave with my name on it.
My Futile Effort

They were fools for love They questioned themselves and each other They questioned how and why They never had a chance How was it to end How were they suppossed to last How could they do that How do they like being fools They tried to plan a future They talked of what could be They got lost in thought They lost themselves How could they pretend How do you hide from this How were the days to go How is the future not dim They embraced and knew They faced one another and knew They saw the truth the way it is They knew it was ending...or just begininng An opportunity?

Parts of life are not fair Unplanned events take course Leading us to anywhere Perhaps to the source
Open your eyes to the here and now See the way time goes by Try desperately to find out "how" And all the answers to the "why"
Opportunities taken or lost again Indecision to follow through Not a word spoken to a friend So no counsel for what to do that thing

This is that thing that digs inside and makes it's home inside your soul
Tearing yourself apart thinking and wondering what it all means where it leads
Wanting answers to fall in your lap sitting and waiting for the answers
Time ticks through the contents of your mind washes away the pain of things done
The pain comes in a torrent of waves through your heart and tears out what's left Flowers

Flowers are looking beautiful Smelling of the sweetest love Sharing the rays of the sun and The dew of the night
Flora calls for admiration Look at her outstretched arms Caress the petals oh so gently Shelter her from the storm
Blossoms are the beginning Starting a new life of love Sprouting up in unsuspecting places Inhale the fragrance of love
